Repair Service

Furniture gets used and abused with regular use over time. Joints loosen, veneer separates, parts break, and chunks of wood go missing. Furniture repair is the process of restoring broken or worn furniture to a usable condition. I can re-glue loose joinery with modern adhesives, stabilize existing veneer, rebuild missing veneer, repair breaks, and hand craft the pieces that need recreating.

Refurbishing Service

Wood furniture adds warmth and character to any home. However, scratches, dents, and marks that occur from regular use can detract from the charm of the piece. Antique refurbishing is the process of ‘brightening up’ the appearance of old, worn-out furniture. I can fill gouges, re-color dents, touch up worn corners, and buff out stains and scratches.

Refinishing Service

As furniture ages, the finish wears down. Lacquer chips and cracks. Antique oil and shellac finishes wear off, exposing the wood. Furniture refinishing is the process of removing the existing finish, and then applying a new finish. I can strip the old finish, sand down the raised grain, enhance the color with glaze and toner, and spray a custom tinted clear coat to lock in the formula.
